Thats just madness to make us wait that long without another installment of the first game, I think people will pass it by if it is that long

Hmm, Well yes it does look well and truly hard on inspiring at the moment but I have to ask this.
A) Obviously I will need a new system to play it as this one is 300 years old.
B) Is it really worth spending all that money when it finally gets here. Will I still give a shit about GW in 2011.
C) How many of the LXY will still be around by then and playing it?.
I remember when Kafka told us all about Guild wars and Ovel went and joined him. (Yes I know H and Killswitch already had it.) Within a week or two a load of us got the game and started more or less together. If, like me you weren't all that cleaver at it and played only for the fun of the clan, then the thing that made it so good would have been the fact that we all started together, all learning and always helping each other. Sure we lost some old friends along the way but that was inevitable but still a good number of us made the switch from Ut to have a go.
Unless we all start together I just wonder if it'll be worth it. It certainly won't be the same if we dont.
So my friends, I for one will be asaking the LXY to see how many people intend to buy this game before I decide to part with my hard earned money and if it is like before where we all get it, then I hope we all buy it at the same time so no one gets left behind. It's just not the same when there are 6 level 20's helping you start off. The fun was that we were all crap and even Simon Lignitie could keep us alive, long before he discovered trapping....................A bucket full of laughs.
Arena net have dilly dallied about for too long and have maybe missed their window. Look at what happened to Ut when it eventually came out.
Will be interesting to see what you lot think.

Well I'll be getting it, regardless, even if its just to have a look, then back to whatever it is were doing at the time. Im looking forward to it, but as zip says, i was looking forward to ut3....
We will also be back in gw around wednesday...ish. As most of you know, we lost Al this week and Mal and I havent been able to get in game much. We had the funeral yesterday, and now were gonna take the kids off on holiday for a few days and clear our heads a bit. But we will be back, and expecting to hammer some keys with you all. That means you too you old welsh part timer. Speak to you soon guys. _________________

well i'll be getting it like biggie said, even if its just to look.
atm ive gone back to playing ut2k4 invasion. found a gd rpg server called disasterous consiquences which is a change.
tried installing ut3 yesterday and tbh i think ut2k4 looked better so dunno where the 'better graphics' comes in lol
tbh the trailer doesnt show much does it, just cardboard cutout characters, no gameplay wel the worlds gonna end in 2012 so they better hurry up else this will all be for nothin :p
PS: who's Al? and srry for ur loss, our neighbors lost her husband last week too to a heart disease he never even knew about, so mum/dad have to go to a funeral wednesday coming aswell, so not a gd week all round is it
well enjoy ur holiday, and remember post some pics for us all to see _________________

I'll be getting Guild Wars 2 when its out, need to upgrade/buy new PC anyway. Guild wars was a lot of fun, just lacked content and don't see myself playing it much because apart from PvP (which there take on it doesn't interested me much) we've done everything to death and there's nothing to really aim for anymore. As far as UT is concerned I can't really bring myself to play either of them.
ATM I've been playing a lot of Warhammer online and I intend on giving Aion a go when its out (yes I know how you lot feel about pay monthly MMO's), which will keep me busy.
Ill drop by soon and say hello as well as telling Zippy to piss off. _________________

No intention of paying any attention to this until they start releasing class/skill details...being purdy does not a good game make. Will try an open beta if they do one, but if their release date is too close to something else I might be a bit too busy to notice... _________________ "I'd like to think we could beat them but then again, we do tend to struggle against teams in the bottom half."

Hi there, Ray here together with Shara.
If anyone wonders why i post in stead of Shara, he does not remembers his login to the forum anymore. Will ask Biggie when he gets back from vacation.
Both of us are planning to buy on releasedate and looking forward to playing all together.
The same can be said for Diablo 3 whenever it is done!!!!!
Starcraft 2 is in our possesion as well if someone likes playing it here?
Talk to you all when we get back from vacation on september 11th.
Cya and game on,
Raymond & Shara |

Unless the open beta is woefully disappointing, GW2 will be a day-1 purchase for me and I'll be quite satisfied to get the usual 9 1/2 weeks of fun from it that I get from most games. However, if it happens to keep me engaged for years like GW did then without doubt it will have far more to do with our clan than the actual game. Looking forward to finding out.
Some recent GW2 gameplay vids (probably have to copy/paste links):

Did someone mention trapping? lmao
Can't believe it took me a year to find this.
Zip, ArenaNet knows how important it is to keep system requirements low. Although your rig may need to do better than run a fullscreen version of Farmville, I'd wager your facing a rather cheap upgrade to reach what GW2 will need. I'll give you a shout about the minimum spec as soon as it's announced. |
